The ingredients used at Irohado are mainly fresh and delivered by contracted farmers. Some are even made with organic compost. In order to make delicious oyaki, we do not compromise on the ingredients we choose, not just from the place of origin, but also from the pumpkin, for example, which is used in Western sweets.

We process carefully selected ingredients in our own factory

We process carefully selected ingredients in our own factory

To ensure that our customers can eat our food with peace of mind, we not only select the ingredients, but also prepare the toppings in our own factory. For example, we work with a long-established local miso shop to use miso that is essential to the flavoring of our classic oyaki, and use a type that goes specially with oyaki. We use as much of the ingredients that the producers are particular about as possible. We work hard every day to provide our customers with ingredients and seasonings that they can see face to face.

Each one carefully wrapped

We produce about 10,000 oyaki per day, and even today, we hand-wrap the vegetable fillings one by one. We want to make oyaki that are packed with ingredients. With that desire in mind, we carefully wrap the selected ingredients using a wrapping method that has been handed down locally.

Making use of the techniques they used when they were a bakery when they first opened, they wrap ingredients in a "soft and chewy" dough. Their unique method of deep frying the oyaki in oil and then baking it in a high-temperature oven gives them a golden brown, fluffy texture. They aim to make oyaki that are easy to eat and delicious even when cooled. They are also popular with people who are trying oyaki for the first time.
